Where has the time gone!

Sorry for lacks of posts being trying to sort out getting photos from iPad to Blog!!! Will try and put some on later as I've found an App. Had a great week in Napier with Colette and Nigel. Weather has improved with each day. Went for 2 days to Lake Taupo, and stayed in a hotel overlooking the lake, which is the largest freshwater lake in the whole of Austalasia, we went to the Huka falls, which were very impressive after all the rain! Anyone who followed our Austalia blog will know rain follows us! We've visited some fantastic wineries and restaurants. Today is Art deco weekend in Napier, so we are all dressed up in 1930s and 1920's clothes. It's is to commerate the earthquake in 1931 and all who survived, it's ironic that today is the 1st anniversary of the Christchurch earthquake, a sad day. Got to go everyone waiting, more later!

Here we are in New Zealand. We left home in -10 and arrived in Auckland to 25 degrees. Just getting the hang of my new IPad bought in Dubai! Had an interesting time in Auckland went out for dinner, sitting in the restaurant and thought that looks like Mike Fry, ex SA colleague, and guess what, it was! Mike and his wife Chris Had been in NZ for 3 weeks and it was their last night. What sort of coincidence is that? Yesterday flew to Napier, and now staying with Colette and Nigel in their amazing home. Will post photos and more later.

One More Week to go!

Its been a long time coming, but only a week to go until we set off for our adventure to New Zealand.

We leave Paris CDG Airport, fly to Dubai - a couple of hours stop off then on to Melbourne and over to Auckland. Its going to be a long flight!!

One night in Auckland, then fly to Napier, to be met by Colette & Nigel. For those who don't know Colette is my sister, they have been living in NZ for 18 months.
